After years of struggling with infertility and 4 prior miscarriages I finally became pregnant and we were very happy. I had a very uneventful pregnancy up until I hit exactly 19 weeks. I had been feeling some gassy type pains in the early morning and after noticing they were coming and going I started timing them, they were about 10 mins apart but it felt like gas to me and i really didn't think much of it until I got up to use the bathroom and as soon as I laid back down I felt a pop and then tons of warm water gush out of me. We rushed to the ER even though I knew the outcome was not going to be good. I had more fluid leak out while in the waiting room until it was decided if I should go up to L&D as I was at that cusp of not quite 20 weeks.

Anyway we go up to L&D and wait for a Doctor, he did ultrasound and even though baby was still alive, there was no fluid at all and the heartbeat had already started to slow down. I was given drugs to induce labor and another ultrasound to check for heartbeat (none was detected).

I had my perfect baby girl (just too small to live here on earth) born sleeping about 5pm Saturday. It's only been 1 day since it happened and while i'm fine physically, emotionally I am in shock. I want to get pregnant again but am scared as I don't want to go through this again. In my case there was no apparent cause for the membranes rupturing.
