My story is kind of long and painful but here it goes. I had a fairly uneventful pregnancy with my first. I had some pain and discomfort that I was told was normal and nothing to worry about. At 22w5d I woke up feeling crampy and decided to lay down and see if the crampiness would go away. I got up of the couch and felt a gush of fluid trickling down my legs. We rushed to the hospital and they weren't much help. They didn't know what to do. They ended up sending me to a hospital that was better equipped to handle complicated pregnancies. I managed to carry my baby girl for another 5 weeks. I delivered Mckala at 28 weeks on Feb 24, 2005. She was absolutely beautiful and seemed to be really healthy. Sadly she had complications due to undeveloped lungs and went to be with the angels at 6a.m. the next morning. My DH and I were devastated. Dr's reassured us that this was most likely a fluke and wouldn't happen again.

We decided to try again and coincidently ended up pregnant the same month I had conceived Mckala. It was a hard pregnancy from the get go. I was so scared that everytime I went to the Dr. my BP was extremely high. I ended up on meds to control it. I was also put on anxiety meds to help. I was crampy and I remember having contractions as early as 14 weeks. My Dr. reasured me that everything looked normal and there was nothing to worry about. On Jan 17, 2006 21w6d I woke up and though I was having constipation cramps. While on the toilet I felt and heard a big gush of water and my heart sunk. I couldn't believe that it was happening again and I new the odds were against me and my baby again. When we got to the hospital I noticed I was bleeding a lot. Everyone was frantic and I felt like I was living in a nightmare. I knew that things were really bad. After passing clots and bleeding for 8 hours we found that Bradley had passed away before we could even meet him. I was induced at 10p.m and at 3:10a.m on Jan 18, 2006 I met the angel that had been kicking me for the last few months. He was adorable in every way possible.

I am now 17w4d pregnant again and seeing pari's for this entire pregnancy. So far so good. I'm taking weekly 17p injections and they are watching my cervix very closely by vaginal ultrasounds. I feel like I'm finally getting the care that I was lacking in my first pregnancies and my fear is still there but I have hope and faith that I will be holding a healthy baby girl in the next 5 months.
