We lost our baby girl on February 8, 2005. My water broke at 11:30pm on Monday and I was taking to the hospital. At the hospital they told me that all my water had gone. The baby's heart beat was high (163). They had told me at 1:30am, Tuesday that the baby wouldnt make. The heart beat was still in the 160s and after being induced the heart beat slowly started to drop. My mother and boyfriend watched the heart beat slowly drop after being induced for 2 hours. The next thing we knew the heart beat just stopped and the doctors just took me off the monitor. They told me that they couldn't find that heart beat and there was no need to be left on the machine. I sat there in pain knowning that my little girl wouldn't make it. I had her at 4:47pm Tuesday. She was 1lb 1.4 ozs, 11 inches long. She came out berch. The hardest thing was to hold her in my arms knowing that I could never hear her cry. The doctor had told me that her skull had crushed from being born berched. Which they never gave me an option for a C Section or to be induced. They just induced me. Our baby came out fine. She had her arms, legs, feet, and hands. She looked so peaceful. Beautiful as can be. I named her Veronica Renee. When she came out the doctor never caught her, instead she just dropped to the bed. I felt they could've done more. I sat in the hospital in labor for 17 hours and listened to other babies cry and never got to hear mine. After my mom and boyfriend told me that the heart beat was dropping I never understand why they didn't try C Section, I thought they were suppose to do everything possible to help the baby. Now Im only 17 and Im scared to have another pregnancy for the fact of losing another one. Can someone help me, try to have me understand, or give me hope?.
