By Kristine Edqvist, SwedenThis was a known high risk pregnancy because I was on bloodthinner due to previous thrombosis in my first pregnancy, and have a hereditary clotting disorder. On top of that I had gestational diabetes.
PROM at 27 weeksDelivery at 30 weeks + 3 days.

At 27 weeks my water broke, and I spent three weeks going in and out of hospital with minor bleeding and water leakage. I was admitted several times, but was allowed to stay home if things were stable. An induction was planned at 34 full weeks.... BUT... one night out of the blue I started bleeding heavily, was rushed to hospital, and had emergency c-section. I thank God we live close, cause it was a miracle we both survived, I was bleeding so much. It turned out the placenta had come completely loose, except for an area the size of a palm, and that saved my little girl.
Isabell had excellent Apgars of 9-10-10, and only needed CPAP for 12 hrs, no extra oxygen. Probably cause I had Decadron the week before. She spent 70 days in NICU, 3 weeks in the incubator, and had an uneventful stay. For me it took quite some time to recuperate, I had lost a lot of blood, and was traumatized by everything that had happened. We have a website up and running, with pics and the full story:
