HI.

I hope my story can give you hope if you find yourself in this terrifying situation.

I was pregnant with IVF twins and after quite a bit of bleeding and lots of morning sickness in the early weeks, I finally thought I was in the clear when I reached 12 weeks.
Unfotunately my waters broke at 15weeks and I was admitted to hospital and told there was a very strong chance I would go into labour and loose both the babies.
My doctor decided to admit me into hospital on bed rest and put me on a course of antibiotics.

I had regular scans and the babies appeared to be growing well.
Only the one sack had broken and there was just enough fluid around the ruptured babies mouth so she could shallow some fluid. My doctor also gave me steriods at 24 and 27 weeks.

At 28 weeks my doctor said I was starting to dilate I and was rushed in for an emergency C section.
My little boy who had the fluid came out crying and looking as well as could be expected.
My little girl who had the ruptured membranes had to be ventalated immediately and remained in intensive care on CPAP for almost 2 months.
By their due date they were both ready to come home, completely off the oxygen and starting to suck from a bottle.

My twins are now almost two and completely perfect in every way!
My little girl has had bronchilitis a few times and they think she may have asthma, a very small price to pay for the start she had in life!My little boy is doing so well that he is in the 95th percentile for his height and weight!

I wish that I could have seen them today when I was so depressed and distraut in hospital but I guess youve just got to keep having faith that God is in control and miracles are possible!
