My membranes ruptured at 19 weeks. I was admitted to the hospital and encouraged to induce labor. My husband and I decided against that beacuse his heartbeat was still strong and some hope was better than none.
I went home the next day on bed rest hoping that I would re-seal.
We made it 13 days, through 3 more ultrasounds where my fluid measured 1.3 cm;trying to get to 24 weeks and ultimately hospitalization.
Unfortunately, I develped a fever and was admittted to the hospital with an infection. They were going to induce me, but nature took it course and our son, Khaleel, was born sleeping at 9:15 am 2/16/07.
I am glad that this site exists. This site was very helpful to us and was the only real resource that I could find with stories and real people.
