By Monica, Spanish Fork, Utah United StatesIt was the day I turned 13 weeks when I came home from picking up my daughter from school. As I got out of the car I felt I big gush and I ran inside the house into the bathroom and noticed it was water. I knew in my heart it was the amniotic fluid. I headed to the ER where my OBGYN doctor was called and he ordered an ultrasound where they confirm that I had indeed had ruptured. The doctor did tell me that I had a 1% chance of the baby living and that it was a matter of hours that I would miscarry. I continued to have ultrasounds and still not fluid. I was on bedrest for 5 weeks until December 17th when I noticed something was wrong. I started feeling something coming out and I decided to feel inside my vagina and I indeed felt the umbilical cord. I freak out! I called my doctor and he told me he would meet me at the hospital. I was examed and the cord was coming out and unfortunatly there was nothing they could do for me. The started induction around 9am and I delivered a beautiful baby boy named Cristian Eduardo at 2:56pm. My husband, daughter, family and I were able to hold him and take pictures until we wanted too. When the family was gone I was able to hold him and talk to him and say my goodbyes. I am glad I was able to hold him and see him. We also decided to have a funaral service for him because he is my son and he was a fighter. The hospital gave me the option to leave him there but I could not. I love him dearly and will miss him always. I never lost faith until the Lord decided it was my sons time to go. Never loose faith even though the doctors recommed terminating. My doctors never recommended me to terminate until the cord decided to come out because it was very very dangerous to me. Keep your head up always and pray alot for a miracle.
