By Kath Heath, QLD AustraliaMy daughter was born at 23.2 weeks 450 grams (just under a lb), she had every problem possible, Grade 4 IVH, PDA, ROP grade 3, heart surgery, eye surgery, jaundice, chronic lung disease, septicemia, blood gas imbalances, brady's, apnoea's, electrolyte imbalances. I was asked to turn off life support on her. She had 9 blood transfusions. Spent 2 months on a ventilator, came home on 02 at 5 months old. She is now 3 yrs old, happy, healthy and extremely intelligent with no long term problems.
