My PROM story has already been posted. This is my PAP story. I want to share it, so I can give hope to other moms who have gone through PROM. When I found out I was pregnant, I was so excited and yet also so terrified. I waited six months after my PROM incident. I switched to a new doctor who immediately put me on zinc, fish oil capsules and vitamin C, on top of prenatal vitamins of course. He monitored me weekly, and checked for BV. I tested positive around the 10th week,so he put me on clyndamicin (I'm pretty sure). I took the antibiotics for 7 days, then he tested me again, and I was normal. I was on modified bedrest through most of the pregnancy, and I quit my job. I was willing to do anything to keep my baby safe. The pregnancy progressed beautifully. I developed a few yeast infections here and there. And at 20 weeks (around the time I lost Viviana) I checked myself into the hospital because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid. It turned out to be just heavy discharge. I was seeing by a perintologist who assured me everything looked awesome. He also said I was having another little girl! I was esctatic. I went home and the rest of my pregnancy was uneventful. With the exception of another incidence of BV at 23 weeks. I was put on antibiotics again, this time a different one. I'm sorry, I cannot remember the name, but I can look it up. I took the antibiotic for another 7 days. I did have some digestive issues throughout the pregnancy so I had to eat very healthy. Other than that, I went into labor at 39 weeks. This time it felt like real labor. My water had broken. Twelve hours later I had my little Jacqui. She weighed 8lbs. 15oz. She is turning a year old on the 21st of this month. This has been the best, most blessed year of my life. We love her, and we're getting ready to go through it again!
Even though we moved to a different state, we bought a new home and we started a new life... nothing ever will compare to the loss we experienced. I now know I can handle anything....
