By Mariana, BrasÃlia, DF BrazilThe pregnancy of my second daughter was just great, we were so thrilled with that. The due month was July. On sunday morning, March 26th, after going to the bathroom I felt my water linking. I started the labor of my first child (now 6 years old) with a water link in the 39th week, so I was pretty sure of what was happening. I called immediatly my doctor who recommended strict bedrest and asked me to drink as much water I could.
PROM at 22 weeksDelivery at 23 weeks.

Our hope was to refill the sac with fluid and re-seal it. Next day morning, I went to the doctor to make a ultasonogram but I had no fluid at all. The baby was great and I had no infection, so he decided to continue with the bedrest and water diet as long as we could.
On thrusday, March 30th, I stated labor. First contractions at 6 a.m.. My daughter Juliana was born of natural birth at 10h08 a.m. with 550 grams and 28cm. It was a very difficult labor, when I cried most of the time, no with fisical pain, but with a heart pain. All doctors had been advising us of the low chances of survival of the baby. All that was very confused in our minds.
As she came out I didn't want to see her. I was trying to not get so much envolved with her, in ordder to avoid pain if the dies. After two days, when I was already at home I felt so bad about it. Me and my husband decided to visit her from that day on. After all she was our daughter and she was alive. I am sure that even though she dies we will feel a lot better about. She is completing 7 days today, and no complications have occoured, but she is having a big fight. She is still in the oxigene in the hospital's NICO. I was happy to find out so many cases of PROM, and hope count with all of your prayers to help Juliana.

Unfortunatly my little Juliana died last thursday.
She survived 21 days.
She became now our guard angel.
Best wishes for all of you.
