By Kay, Mpls Mn USAOn December 22 I was visiting my mother and had a big gush of bright red blood. I was in my 14th week of pregnancy. My mom took me to the emergency room and they said I was probly having a miscarrage. I had just had one in August and thought that that is all that it could be. But to our surprise they did an ultrasound and the baby was in there moving around just fine. The fluid was a bit low, but things looked good.
PROM at 21 weeksDelivery at 33 weeks.

I went to my OB the next day and they did another us. They told me the fluid was back to normal but I had a suchronic hemmarage and that it would just go away. We were so relieved. The bleeding stoped in about 2 days.
Then on the morning of my 21st week I woke up with another gush. This time dark brown blood. I called my OB and he said that it was probly just the rest of the hemmerage and he would see me the next day at my u/s. At the u/s the next day they found that there was NO amniotic fluid left!!!!!!!!! We were so upset. My Dr. said he could send me to the Perinatologist, but things looked very bad and that it would probly be better to just termanate the pregnancy. No way was I doing that so I went to the Peri and they gave my Baby a 40% chance to get past 24 weeks. My fiance' and I went home and I was on bedrest for 4 weeks at home.
Then I had made it to 25 weeks which they told me I would never do. At 25 weeks they hospitalized me. The fluid lever never went above 2.9cm. I actually made it in the hospital to 33 weeks. The day before the baby came they did a test on my fluid and said her lungs were not ready. Then the next day I went into labour and out she came.
Haley Grace weighed 3lbs. 7oz. and was 16 in. long. She was only on the ventalator for 23 hours. She is just perfect. Nothing is wrong with her at all. She is now in The Special Care Nurserey and should be home in about a week or so. We thank God everyday for our little miricle. I can not emagine if we had listened to our Dr.s idea to termanate. It is a long road, but so much worth every bit.
