By Tammy, Topeka ShawneeI was at work and I had to go to the restroom. I had a case of diahrea and at the same time I felt a large gush. I was unable to tell if it was from the rear or the front. I went back to my desk, then I kept leaking. I called my OBGYN and they told me to go to the hospital. When I got there they checked my pad and my urine and said that it was NOT my water. It showed no signes of Amniotic Fluid. They then did another test with a ring that they put up in me and made me cough, they said that if it turned blue then it was my water. It came back the same color as when they put it in. They were pretty confident that it was not my water, but when they tested for the baby's heart beat they could not find it. They did a sonogram and it confirmed that there was absolutley no water. MY WATER DID BREAK. They told me my baby had less than 5% chance to survive. They sent me home to wait it out. 6 days later I woke up to go to the bathroom and the cord was hanging out between my legs. We went to the hospital 6:30am they induced me at 5pm and my baby girl was born 11:48pm.

They are still trying to determine what went wrong. They think it was a bactira infection because within an hour of delivery I started to run 102 fever.
It has been over two weeks since I delivered and still no news.
