By Priya, Missoula, MT U.S.AMy story started out with a healthy pregnancy. Everything was going great. As we are from India and presently living in US, we started planning to leave to our country to be with our parents to share the event of birth. But suddenly one day as I woke up from my sleep I had gush of water. When I went into rest room and looked, I was bleeding. I panicked and we went to doctor. After Ultrasound, they determined that I broke my water and my baby was at risk. we were advised not to travel and I was to take total rest. I had to see the doc every week and have ultrasound every time. So, we had two visits where I was assured of improved condition. after a day of visit, I had severe pain in my back which soon declined. It was suspected to be infection. The very next day the pain returned. I fought it for almost 5 hours but at last could not bear and we went to hospital just in time to deliver a tiny baby boy.
PROM at 19 weeks + 6 days. Delivery at 21 weeks + 4 days.

All the hopes we have been holding for 5 months ended in five minutes. everything was over and my little one closed his eyes without opening them. He was so tiny, so cold that there is no way I can wipe off his image from my heart.
I wonder what went wrong? did i do to deserve this?Away from my home and loved ones,I now feel empty and lonely.
