By Sarah, St. Louis, MO USMy first pregnancy had no complications, and I delivered after my water broke at 38 weeks. With my second pregnancy, everything seemed to be going fine when I started to develop a dull ache on each side of my lower back. I was advised that this was normal pregnancy pains. Two days later I lost my mucus plug, and early the next morning my water broke at 18 weeks 5 days. I was sent to the hospital and was given fluids along with antibiotics. I started to develop a fever later that evening, and by the next morning, my little girl didn't have a heartbeat anymore. I was then induced and delivered my angel baby at 18 weeks 6 days. I have been told this was a fluke as they couldn't determine the cause. I'm currently pregnant again and am scared to death that it will happen again. Hoping for my rainbow baby.
PROM at 18 weeks + 5 days. Delivery at 18 weeks + 6 days.
