By Veronica, Russellville, AR USAI am 31 years old and my husband and I have been married for 8 years. We got pregnant very easily and I had no issues during my first 22 weeks of pregnancy. I started having little cramps but we had a doctors appointment the next week so we thought we would wait until then to talk about the cramps. Since it was our first pregnancy we didn't know any better...I didn't want to be that crazy mom that thought something was wrong when it was nothing. My advice now is ask questions and go in no matter what! Unfortunately, my water broke on Friday evening. We went to the hospital where they confirmed my water was broken. They monitored me until morning hoping the amniotic fluid would accumulate. Unfortunately, that was not the case Saturday morning. I chose to go home. Saturday caused us to get our hopes up because I did not have any pain and the fluid leakage seemed to be slowing down. (Miracles can happen) Sunday afternoon I started cramping and knew it was going to be bad news. When we arrived at the hospital, there was no heartbeat. I delivered Sebastian Cooper the next morning. Holding him was the best decision we made. I will miss him everyday.
PROM at 22 weeks + 4 days. Delivery at 22 weeks + 6 days.
