Warning this has a sad ending :o(

I found out I was pregnant on June 5, 1998, I didn't know I was 14 weeks pregnant at the time. I went to the dr because I thought I was having accidents on myself, but it turned out my fluid sac ruptured. Any how the drs didn't realize it until I was around 19 weeks. They gave me the choice to terminate the baby or go through with the pregnancy knowing that our baby had a 50% chance of survival. I just couldn't do it, soI went on with the pregnancy.

On Aug. 17, 1998 I was put in the hospital for strict bed rest until the baby was mature enough to be born. However our beautiful son, Isaiah Jonathan Skidmore was born on Aug. 19 at 9:08 pm weighing 1lb 12oz and was 11.5 inches long. So tiny. The neonatal dr came in to the recovery room and told my boyfriend and I that he was looking a lot better than they expected. Well I was up all day with contractions so I was so tired. We got to see our baby before I went back up to my room. It was around 11 o'clock so they told my boyfriend he had to go. So he left.

Around 4 I woke up to go see our son, when I got there he wasn't doing so well. I stayed with him for a while, I should of stayed LONGER, but who knew.....I went back up to my room and around 6:40 the nurse came in and told me that the NICU dr wanted to see me. Right than I knew it wasn't good.

I got there and got to hold our child for the last 20 minutes of his life. My boyfriend wasn't even there in time to say his good byes to our son. This has been so hard to deal with. You can visit his webpage at www.geocities.com/Welles ley/Gazebo/8178.

It has the whole story and pictures of me, Bo, and our son Isaiah. I would like to know of some sucess stories about subsequent pregnancies after PROM. We are talking about trying again, but I'm so afraid of PROM happening again. I would also like to know some chances of it happening again.

Thank You.
