I want to share my story with you because when I was going through my very difficult pregnancy all of these stories and several other websites helped me.

My husband and I after 5 years of marriage decided to start a family. I have endemetriosis so I suspected it would be difficult. After only 4 months, to my surprise, I was pregnant. Six weeks later I miscarried. I was hoping I would get pregnant again right away. However, my endometriosis acted up and I had to have a laproscopy. We then decided to be more agressive and attempted IUI. After 5 months of that we decided to do in vitro. The first time we put in two embryos and it did not work. So, a couple of months later we tried again and decided to put in three since it did not work the first time. I did not think that it would work.

Two weeks later I found out I was pregnant and then a couple of weeks after that I found out it was triplets. I was very scared that if I couldn't carry one that I would definately not be able to carry three. I felt great, besides the morning sickness and was hopeful that it would be a manageable pregnancy.

In my 13th weeks I woke up to a small amount of water. We went to the hospital and they suspected that Baby A's water broke. However, the next morning the fulid looked fine. I was sent home and told not to worry, I must have urinated in my sleep.

In my 19th week I went to bed and then suddenly felt something give way and water gushed out. I knew it was bad but tried to be brave for my husband. At the hospital my Dr. gave me a level 2 ultrasound and to my horror Baby A had no fluid. The Drs tole me that I had a 10% chance that any of the babeis would make it. We were devastated. They figured that I would go into labor and the babies would not survive. I said that maybe the sac would heal or mend and fluid would build back up. They informed me that it was possible but that they had never seen it in a triplet pregancy.

I sat there for 3 days and cried and then decided to get online and see if there was hope. Several women responded to my e-mails and said that there was hope and to love my babies and to pray for them. So I decided to do just that. Each day the Dr would come into my hospital room and ask me if I had any leakage. I would smile and say "no". Two weeks went by and they did another ultrasound. And lo and behold baby A had her fluid back. My prayers had been answered. How could I be so blessed. I was on bedrest after that until I developed severe preclampsia and had to deliver at exactly 30 weeks.

My three wonderful babies were born on October 20th 2001. They are now 4 months old and Lydia weighs 10 pds (baby A born 2 pounds); Clifford 11 1/2 pounds ( born 3 pounds) and Emily 10 1/2 pounds ( born 2.12) Lydia was breathing room air from the beginning. She is our little miracle.

Two weeks after the babies were born I was back in the hospital with a life threatening blood clot. I was lucky that they were able to treat it and that I survived. The Drs have informed me that I should never be pregnant again so I thank God for the three little precious ones that I have been blessed with.

I hope this story gives you hope that your babies can make it and not to give up hope!
