By Julie Johnson, Beaver, PA USAMy daughter, Kaitlyn was born at 32 weeks due to PROM at Alleghent General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was delivered by C-section due to the cord being around her neck, and breech presentation. She weighed in at 4lbs. 8 oz. She was intubated at birth due to difficulty breathing. She required 4 weeks in the NICU. Other problems she had include reflux, apnea and bradycardia, not being able to suck, staff infection, and just neede time to grow. Her lowest weight was 3lbs. 12 oz. Today Kaitlyn is a healthy and active 2 (almost 3) year old.
PROM at 32 weeks + 2 days. Delivery at 32 weeks + 2 days.
