I've had two pprom babies. My water broke with my first baby at 35+0 weeks. Up to that point, my pregnancy had been perfect. It was a slow leak so I didn't go in right away because I wasn't sure if it was my water or not. When I got to the hospital, I was 4cm and 75% effaced. I couldn't feel my contractions at all. They decided to give me pitocin because my water had been broken for over 12 hours, I was 35 weeks (they would have stopped my labor if it would have broken one day earlier), and they were worried about infection. They gave me Pitocin and my daughter was born 2 hours later. She was 5 lbs 12 oz and spent 24 hours in observation.
