i found out i was pregnant very early at about 5weeks,a few days later i started bleeding i didnt think it was anything bad as i bled a little with my previous pregnancy we got taken for a scan which said everything was ok,my pregnancy went along like normal having a 12 week scan and seeing baby being very active was lovely from about 15 weeks onwards i started to spotting i didnt really think much but went along a few times to have it checked out and the midwifes always said baby was fine,we went for our 20 week scan which ended up being a nightmare the lady said that my fluid was below avarage and that baby has a prolonged head shape and i was to come back in a week, i was so upset and scared i booked a private scan the next day we ended up having a great scan baby was fine head was fine and we were haing a girl i went straight out and bought two pink baby grows,on the following monday i was led in bed and could feel something wet i stood up and fluid just started leaking out i rang ny mum and went straight to the hospital, the midwifes checked babys heartbeat she was fine i saw a doctor who checked me over and sent me for a scan it was fine i stayed in hospital over night still loosing fluid everytime i stood up, the next day i was checked by a different doctor who told me then that my waters had definatly gone,we were so upset as they said i would probably go into labour and deliver within the next 48hrs they would not be able to save the my baby,i had a scan the next morning which revealed i had no fluid 3 days later i went home on strick instructions to stay in bed and take antibiotucs,we reached 22 weeks and were happy i had regular bloods taken and scans which still revealed no fluid, in the 23rd week i went into hospital after passing blood clots a doctor checked me over saying baby was fine and i could go home if i wanted so home i went two days later i passed a huge blood clot and went back to hospital this time the doctor said she would like to keep me in she said i had a low lying placenta which was causing the bleeding as i was 23+4 she decided to give me a steriod injection and i went up to the ward the folling day i had another steriod injection and on the friday at 23+6 days i was told i could go home befor i left hospital the midwife listened in to my baby she was very difficult to find the heartbeat but eventually found it i didnt no that that would be the last time i ever heard my daughters heart beat. i got home and got into bed to rest on saturday morning i was 24 weeks we were so happy we had finally reached it i was a little nervous as i had not felt baby as much as usual but has a routine appointment for bloods at the hospital i got to hospital and had bloods taken then asked for heartbeat to be listened to the midwife could not find it another midwife tried but could not find it then they got a portable scanner out and i had to wait for a doctor over 3hrs later the doctor tried to find babys heartbeat but could not she told me because it was a portable scanner it wasnt the best and to come back tommorrow for a proper ultra sound scan i knew my baby had died tho,i went home and led on the sofa in a daze a hour or so i started bleeding and went into hospital where we stayed the night the next morning the scan revealed that my baby girl had died she had lost her fight we were so sad,two days later i gave birth to chanelle she was still the size of 21 weeks so had not grown since my waters broke she also had a condition called gastrosisis which is a hole in the side of her tummy. i held my beautiful baby girl and bought her a white dress which she was dressed in for her funeral, that was such a hard day for me to have to say goodbye to my baby who i never even got to say hello to i will always love her and she will always be in my heart.love mummuy
