By Sinnanna, Copenhagen DenmarkAfter 3 years of fertility treatment I finally became pregnant with twins March 2010. From week 5 I started spotting and bleeding a little bit. Week 10+6 I lost the amniotic fluid on our baby girl, and was told that I would definitely miscarry or that she would be absorbed by my body. I managed to stay pregnant for another 15! weeks and got steroids on board at week 24. I gave birth to my beloved twins one week apart. We lost our daughter who was born vaginally - 25+1 weeks old weighing 650 grams and she only stayed with us for a few hours. It turned out that her lungs never developed beyond the size of a week 18 infant because of pprom and extremely low fluid levels until birth.
PROM at 10 weeks + 6 days. Delivery at 25 weeks + 1 days.

With various medication I managed to keep her brother inside for another week, and he was born via emergency c-section at exactly 26+1 weighing 785 grams. He is currently in the NICU and doing great, preparing to go home.
