My husband and I were so excited when
we found out we were having a baby. He
had two children from a previous
marriage and I had one, our blended
family was going to be complete.
The beginning started off just as it
did with my daughter, I knew I was
pregnant really early went to the
doctor and the heart was beating
strong.
Then at around 11 weeks I was eating
dinner and started having
contractions, went into the er, while
they asked for a urine sample, I
started to bleed, I thought for sure I
was loosing the baby. Although
everything looked fine. I bleed for a
couple of days and then it stopped.
Then about a month later, I was
getting ready to watch the fire works
and felt a gush coming out, I looked
down to see blood on my shoes. Back to
the er, and baby was fine. I was on
bed rest for a few days and was
finally starting to feel better,
although the bleeding lasted. 24 days
later I had been feeling the best I
had felt my whole pregnancy.
I went to bed a little late and was
awoken by my self saying oh no, I
called my husband who was working
nights and my water broke. I went in
and the er doc stated that it was in
fact my water.
I went to my regular ob who stated
there was nothing we could do. I
needed to be induced. I went home for
a while before going back to get
induced. They started inducing me at
5pm. At 12:15 pm the next day our son
Aiden was born into heaven. It was
nice to have the staff that we had and
to have I.R.I.S (Infants remembered in
silence) there to help us. We held our
son, took pictures and got hand and
foot prints. It was amazing.
We missed him dearly and decided to
try again. I got pregnant the first
time I ovulated after Aiden. I cried
so hard, thinking we had our 2nd
chance. About 2 weeks later, I was
going through it all again, started
bleeding, then cramping and had a
miscarriage.
Now my husband and I have a puppy.
Although, I can't get over all this
and really would like to have a baby,
I am not sure either one of us can
take the heartache once again. Plus to
put our other children through all
this again.
I wish I would have had time to read
these stories before I decided to go
with the doctor and be induced. The
baby was fine, his heart was beating,
he was moving, with all his fingers
and toes. I just don't understand how
this so called freak accident can
happen 2 times.
