My first pregnancy ended in a D&C
after 8 weeks when the heart beat was
not found on the U/S. After that I lost
my job and subsequently my insurance. I
then had 4 more miscarridges before the
12 week of gestation. I had the
misscaridges at home with my husband at
my side. My 6th pregnancy i started
bleeding again, with what i believed to
be a threatened misscaridge, i went to
the E/R. Through the E/R they found me
an ob/gyn, who then found me a perinatal
DR. I continued to bleed. I was 10
weeks. on the U/S the peri/dr. told me
i had less than 50% chance of this baby
surving and to be on bed rest. The
specialist informed me that the D&C was
probibly the reason for my bad luck that
the Dr. who performed the operation had
not used seaweed to dialate my uterus so
he had probibly damaged me. I took his
advise and was thrilled when we passes
the 12 week. I stayed on bedrest and
week 13-16 passed. week 18 the
specialist told me I had PROM. that i
had NO fluid at all and the baby would
most likely die inside me and i would be
lucky if i did not also. At 19-5 my
husband and i went to the E/R with
severe cramping and the dr. told me the
baby was not developing, her heart was
slowing down and he also recomended an
induction. Two days later I had the
procedure. I wish i did not. I wish i
had the courage to leave her in Gods
hands. I wish we had a neonatal
specialist in las Vegas. I wish there
was more information for me to see if
there is anything i can do to prevent
this from happening again. What do I do
Now? my heart is broken in a 1000 pieces
and no one seems to know anything. I am
tired of people patronising me telling
me every pregnancy is different, next
time.....are there any medications that
can help strenghten my reproductive
organs?
